Terms of Service
Last edited October 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of Adventure Guitar, provided by White River Media LLC. When you create an account you confirm you agree to them and to our Privacy Notice. We record the date and version you accepted.
1. Your account
You are responsible for your password, for access to the email address on your account, and for everything done through your account. Provide accurate information and tell us if you think your account has been compromised. You must be at least 13 years old.
2. The Guitar Atlas and our content
The Guitar Atlas, lessons, tools, audio, downloads and everything else we publish in Adventure Guitar belong to White River Media LLC and its author. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to read, play along with and print them for your own practice and teaching. Don’t copy, resell, share your account to give others access, or post our material elsewhere without written permission.
The digital Guitar Atlas is unlocked with a key. A key comes inside every printed copy, or with a digital purchase. It works once, on one account, and it unlocks the digital Atlas for the person who redeems it. A key and an account are for one person: don’t share or sell them, and don’t copy, screenshot or distribute the pages. Each page shows your email address as a watermark, reading is limited to a small number of devices per account, and we may suspend an account that appears to be copying or sharing the book.
Prices are shown before you pay. Payments are handled by our payment processor, and we do not see or store your card details. Printed books are printed and shipped to the address you give by our print partner, Lulu, and shipping may be charged on top of the book price. If something is wrong with an order, email info@whiteriver.media and we will make it right. Other items sold through a link in the app are sold by the shop at that link, under that shop’s terms and refund policy.
3. Your content
Your practice entries, journal, reviews and questions remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run Adventure Guitar, including showing reviews and questions to other signed-in members. Only add content you have the right to share.
Your member profile (handle, bio and photo) is shown to other members only if you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time. Keep everything you post lawful and respectful: nothing abusive, hateful, misleading, sexual or that infringes someone else’s rights, and no impersonation. Members can report profiles, reviews, questions and photos. We may hide or remove content, clear a bio, or close accounts that break these terms.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload or bypass its security, no access to other people’s accounts or data, no automated scraping, and nothing unlawful. In the community, no harassment, spam or unwanted contact.
5. Practice and learning
Adventure Guitar is a learning and practice tool. Results depend on your own practice, and we make no promise about how fast or how far you will progress. The tuner and ear tools are aids, and may be inaccurate with background noise or a poor microphone. Play at a comfortable level and stop if anything hurts.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Services running but do not promise they will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. You can download your data at any time from the app.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app, which permanently removes your data. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
8. Disclaimer and limits
Adventure Guitar is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, White River Media LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it (which for a free account is zero). Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, USA, except where your local consumer law requires otherwise.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continuing to use the Services means you accept the update.
